Institute for Geoinformatics Post-Doc Fellowships

Duration: 3 to 6 months between October 2010 and July 2011

The Institute for Geoinformatics (ifgi) at the University of Münster offers two fellowships for visiting post-doctoral researchers, for a lump sum of 3000€ per month each. Candidates from all over the world and with any disciplinary backgrounds will be considered, if they demonstrate potential to engage in innovative research together with ifgi researchers and students. Applicants need to have completed a PhD in a pertinent  area and propose a research program for three to six months, linked to one or more of the ifgi core research labs read more…

• Münster Semantic Interoperability Lab (MUSIL),
• Spatio-temporal Modelling Lab (STML),
• Spatial Intelligence Lab (SIL),
• Sensor web, Web-based geoprocessing and Simulation Lab (SWSL).

There are also opportunities to teach a block or semester course, with an additional financial compensation. Applications with motivation letter, CV, research program, and proposed timing are to be sent to Prof. Dr. Werner Kuhn, kuhn@uni-muenster.de, until August 30, 2010. Later applications can be accepted until the fellowships are awarded. Among the applicants of equal qualifications and equal, position-relevant skills, female and disabled candidates will be given the preference unless other candidate-related reasons prevail.
